James Kosko M.D.
Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery
Dr. James Kosko was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He is a fourth generation steel worker and was a union member prior to his medical career. He graduated with a BS degree in Pre-Med from Penn State University where he was a varsity letterman. He received his MD degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his Otolaryngology training at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. Dr. Kosko moved to Baltimore in 1995 to pursue a Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Medical School.
Dr. Kosko moved to Orlando in 1996 and was the first physician to join the Nemours Children’s Clinic, Orlando. In addition, he was the first fellowship trained pediatric otolaryngologist in Orlando to devote his practice exclusively to children.
Since moving to Orlando, Dr. Kosko has assumed a leadership role in the medical community. He has been Medical Director of Audiology at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and was actively involved in obtaining funding for the infant hearing screening program. He has served as both Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Department of Children’s Surgery at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He remains on active staff for Advent Hospital for Children.
Dr. Kosko is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology and is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Kosko has presented his research at numerous local, state, and national meetings. He is published in numerous peer-reviewed journals. He has also been named to Top Doctors in Orlando for more than 15 consecutive years.
Dr. Kosko remains active outside of medicine. He has been President of Dr Phillips Pop Warner football. He has also been on the booster club board for both Dr Phillips and Lake Highland High Schools. His hobbies include snow skiing, boating, and fishing. Dr. Kosko and his wife enjoy traveling and spending time with their three grown children and grandson.

Eric Jaryszak, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Eric Jaryszak was born in Hammond, Indiana. He grew up in the Midwest, attending Wabash College where he was a Cum Laude graduate with a double major in Chemistry and Mathematics. He was a four-time letterman in basketball where he was a member of 2 NCAA tournament and conference championship teams. He completed a combined M.D./Ph.D. program at the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2004 where he was awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His research in pulmonary physiology has been presented on an international level.
Dr. Jaryszak moved to Florida for his otolaryngology residency training at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. There, he continued his commitment to both education and research and was twice awarded “Resident Teacher of the Year” by his peers. He has published several papers and presented his research at the regional, national, and international level, garnering awards for his research from the major Otolaryngology societies.
After completing his residency training in 2009, Dr. Jaryszak moved to Washington, DC for his pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center. He joined Dr. Kosko and Dr. Cotter in 2010 and has helped establish the first pediatric cochlear implant program in the metropolitan Orlando area. Dr. Jaryszak’s interests extend beyond the ear, however, as he is committed to providing excellent care for all patients with any problem of the ears, nose, or throat.

Joshua Gottschall, M.D.
Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery
Dr. Joshua Gottschall grew up in Long Island, New York. He attended the University of Florida where he graduated with honors and earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology in 1995. He was awarded a Medical Doctorate at the State University of New York, Downstate College of Medicine in 1999.
After medical school, Dr. Gottschall moved to Michigan where he completed his training in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery at Henry Ford Hospital. During his final year of training, he was nominated ‘Most Outstanding Resident’ by the Henry Ford Medical Group. In 2004, he moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue pediatric otolaryngology fellowship training at the Children’s National Medical Center at George Washington University.
In 2005, Dr. Gottschall moved to Northern California where he was appointed Chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Kaiser Permanente; the largest integrated health care system in the United States. During his nearly 6 years there, he was responsible for the care of children with the most complex Pediatric Otolaryngology disorders. Additionally, he served as Program Director for the Otolaryngology Residency Program where he trained young surgeons in his field of expertise. In recognition of his commitment to teaching and research, Dr. Gottschall was honored with the Golden Adam’s Apple Teaching Award by his students and peers.
Dr. Gottschall has authored numerous research papers and book chapters. He has served as guest faculty at Stanford University and the University of California in San Francisco. He was Editor of the Otolaryngology Section of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Grand Rounds publication from 2007-2009. Currently, he serves on the AAP Executive Committee for Pediatric Otolaryngology.
An expert in all aspects of Otolaryngology, Dr. Gottschall is well versed in caring for children with diseases of the head and neck from simple to the most complex. He has particular interest in the treatment of deafness and congenital ear deformities including microtia (small ear), ear canal reconstruction, and cochlear implant surgery.
Each year, Dr. Gottschall leads a team of surgical volunteers to the Philippines in order to provide much needed surgery to those without access to health care. During these overseas humanitarian trips, he repairs cleft lip and palate deformities, and performs surgery to correct ear and thyroid disorders. He serves on the Board of Directors of Bay Area Surgical Mission (BASM), a 501c not for profit organization.
Dr. Gottschall is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology and the American Broncho-Esophagological Association. He serves as the Medical Director of Pediatric Otolaryngology for the Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children. He is also on medical staff at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
In February 2011, Dr. Gottschall joined Children’s Ears Nose & Throat Associates. He is thrilled to be partnered with the only practice in Central Florida dedicated to the care of ear, nose & throat disorders in children. Outside of medicine, Dr. Gottschall enjoys spending time with his wife and children. His hobbies include traveling, music, biking, and sailing. He is also an Eagle Scout.

Shawna Hancock, CPN

Shawna was born and raised in Central Florida. Since she was a young child, her dream was to work in pediatrics, following in the footsteps of her beloved pediatrician, Dr. Carter. Shawna attended Apopka High School, where she was a member of the Medical Careers Magnet program. Following high school, Shawna attended the University of Central Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Shawna worked as a Registered Nurse at Florida Hospital for Children on the Pediatric Medical Surgical unit for four years. Shawna studied to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the University of South Alabama, and is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Prior to joining the team in January 2018, Shawna worked as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Powers Pediatrics in Orlando, FL. Shawna has a passion for caring for pediatric patients, and loves establishing relationships with her patients and watching them grow. In her free time, Shawna enjoys spending time with her husband and family, taking her dog Diesel to the beach, cooking, reading, and running.

Gina O'Connor, ARNP
Gina is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of nursing experience and a strong foundation in patient-centered, evidence-based care. She earned her RN from Valencia College in 2002 and went on to complete both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2005) and Master of Science in Nursing (2018) at the University of Central Florida. Her background includes ICU, NICU, Pre-op, and PACU nursing, along with NP experience in pediatric ENT and pediatric Urgent Care. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board and is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to all of her patients. Outside of work she enjoys reading, practicing yoga, kayaking, theater, and traveling with her husband and two daughters.

Sarah Harden DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Sarah was born and raised in the Central Florida area. As a child, she decided she wanted to become a nurse to take care of babies. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida in 2010. Her nursing career began in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where she gained invaluable experience caring for the tiniest of patients, a time she will always cherish as a nurse.
Sarah went on to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Florida in 2016, specializing in pediatric care. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care (CPNP-PC). After leaving the NICU, she transitioned into pediatric primary care before moving into the ENT specialty.
She truly loves working with children and considers pediatric patients the best part of the job. Outside the clinic, Sarah enjoys life with her husband and their three children, soaking up the joys of a busy, happy family!

Tori Forth, PA
Physician Assistant
Tori, a Florida native from Ormond Beach, is a nationally certified Physician Assistant with a strong foundation in surgical care, patient education, and family-centered medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Behavior from the University of Florida and completed her Master of Clinical Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Barry University.
Before transitioning into pediatric ENT, Tori spent eight years in general surgery, where she gained extensive experience in perioperative care, acute surgical management, and teamwork across multiple specialties. She is known for her calm, reassuring presence and her commitment to clear, kid-friendly communication that helps families feel informed and supported.
Caring for children has always been one of Tori’s greatest passions, and she is thrilled to bring her surgical background and compassionate approach to helping young patients feel comfortable, confident and well cared for.
Outside the office, Tori loves spending time with her husband and their two children. She enjoys reading, staying active, and making memories with family and friends.

Dana Broussard-Perry, M.D.

Dr. Broussard-Perry is a board certified allergist who provides care in the identification and treatment of various allergies (environmental, food, drug) and asthma. She sees patients of all ages, from infancy to seniors.
Dr. Broussard-Perry received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Pre-medicine at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Her medical degree was received from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington DC followed by residency training in pediatrics at USC Medical Center (Los Angeles). After completing her fellowship at Harbor-UCLA and Martin Luther King Medical Center (Los Angeles) in Allergy/Immunology, Dr. Broussard-Perry established herself in the Orlando area.
Dr. Broussard-Perry enjoys personal interaction with her patients as it provides the opportunity for individualized treatment plans. She and her staff make every effort to address patients’ concerns in a timely manner.
Dr. Broussard-Perry has made the Orlando area her home with her husband Donald, her son and daughter. During her spare time she enjoys attending sports events, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Aranda was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was raised in Gainesville, Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Health Science in Public Health and Health Professions. She earned her Doctorate of Audiology at the University of Florida in 2017. She completed her clinical externship in Audiology at the UF Health Speech and Hearing Center.
Orange and blue runs in her blood, Go Gators! Dr. Aranda is a fluent, native Spanish speaker. Throughout her training she participated in multiple humanitarian trips to provide hearing healthcare to areas in Mexico that do not regularly have access to these services. These humanitarian trips, in addition to the wide variety of clinical populations she worked with during her clinical training, emphasized her love for working with children and their families. Dr. Aranda is excited to join our practice and serve the pediatric population of Orlando! She enjoys spending time with her husband and family, exploring with her dogs Penny and Mowgli, movie watching, baking, and going to the beach.

Johanna Lugo Gonzalez AuD, ABA-C

Dr. Lugo-Gonzalez was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in Arecibo with a bachelor’s degree of Physical Education for Elementary School Children in 2009 and earned her Doctorate of Audiology at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus in 2014. She completed her clinical externship in Audiology at the Veterans Affairs Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico where she had the opportunity to give back to those veterans who served our country.
Throughout her training Dr. Lugo–Gonzalez participated in multiple rotations at the high-risk clinics at the University Pediatric Hospital in Puerto Rico where she gained invaluable
experience with the pediatric population. It was then that she fell in love with that population. As a clinician, Dr. Lugo-Gonzalez strives to provide compassionate individualized hearing care that improves patients’ quality of life.
Dr. Lugo-Gonzalez is a native Spanish speaker. She enjoys spending time with her kids and family. She is a dog and a sports lover. When she is not in the clinic, you will probably
find her around on a volleyball court, at a soccer park or at the beach!

Dr. Elisabeth “Libby” Krueger was raised here in Orlando, Florida. She attended the University of Central Florida where she graduated with honors and earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2019. She earned her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida in 2023. She completed her clinical internship with UF Health Hearing Center.
Dr. Krueger fell in love with pediatric audiology quickly after beginning college! She had the opportunity to learn in a variety of settings, including here at CENTA as a student herself. Dr. Krueger is passionate about partnering with families throughout their hearing journey. With a deep commitment to patient care, Dr. Krueger focuses on providing individualized support that empowers families to make informed decisions every step of the way!
When she’s not in clinic, she loves spending time with her husband and family discovering new local gems around Orlando, cheering on the Gators and Packers, and rolling up her sleeves working on her fixer-upper home.

Stephanie Ortega AuD, CCC-A
Stephanie was born and raised in Miami, Florida. From a young age, she knew she wanted to work in healthcare and make a difference in children’s lives. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida before completing her Doctor of Audiology degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
During her time at UNC, Stephanie completed her LEND/OSEP fellowship with a focus on the D/deaf and Deaf+ population, receiving advanced training in family-centered and interdisciplinary care. Her passion for audiology stems from her love of both healthcare and children, as well as a personal connection—her uncle experienced late-identified hearing loss, inspiring her dedication to early hearing detection and intervention. She completed her clinical externship at Texas Hearing Institute in Houston, Texas, where she gained extensive experience working with children and families navigating hearing loss in both clinical and educational settings.
A native Spanish speaker, Stephanie is passionate about providing equitable, compassionate care to all families. Her professional interests include diagnostic testing, hearing aids, and cochlear implant management, with a strong commitment to early hearing detection and intervention.
Outside the clinic, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, traveling, reading, and visiting Disney World.
